Soupe de champagne sans alcool : notre recette

Non-alcoholic champagne soup: our recipe

If there’s one classic that never misses a celebration, it’s Champagne soup.
Light, sparkling, and full of flavor, this festive cocktail has become a go-to across generations for moments of togetherness — weddings, New Year’s Eve parties, and more. But what if you don’t want to drink alcohol?

In this article, we’re sharing our non-alcoholic Champagne soup recipe, tips to get it right every time, and as a bonus, a fun twist using Bulles de Jardins — our natural, alcohol-free sparkling drink — for a festive and flavorful aperitif.

What exactly is Champagne soup?

Despite the name, Champagne soup isn’t a soup at all — it’s a cocktail traditionally made with Champagne, often combined with Cointreau (or Triple Sec), cane sugar syrup, lime juice, and a splash of orange or grapefruit juice. It’s served very chilled in a large punch bowl, often garnished with fresh fruit slices.

While it’s relatively low in alcohol, it’s definitely not alcohol-free. More and more people today are looking for a non-alcoholic alternative to this iconic drink — and we’ve got just the thing.

Why choose a non-alcoholic version?

There are so many reasons to skip alcohol — health, pregnancy, religion, athletic goals, or simply the desire to enjoy the party without the next-day hangover.

The good news? The non-alcoholic Champagne soup loses none of the charm of the original. It keeps the same fresh, fizzy, and fruity profile that makes this cocktail so beloved.

Classic Non-Alcoholic Champagne Soup Recipe

Serves around 6 people

Ingredients:

  • 75 cl of non-alcoholic sparkling drink (look for one that’s bubbly and lightly fruity — like a “non-alcoholic Champagne”)

  • 15 cl lime juice (about 4 limes)

  • 10 cl cane sugar syrup

  • 10 cl fresh orange juice

  • A few fresh mint leaves

  • Thin slices of orange, lemon, or grapefruit (for garnish)

  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. In a large punch bowl or carafe, combine the lime juice, orange juice, and cane sugar syrup.

  2. Mix well, then pour in the non-alcoholic sparkling drink.

  3. Taste and adjust to your liking — add more syrup if you prefer it sweeter, or an extra splash of lime for more acidity.

  4. Add ice, mint leaves, and citrus slices.

  5. Serve chilled, with a ladle or straight from the carafe.

Variation:
For a softer flavor, you can swap the orange juice for peach or mango juice. And to add a touch of complexity, try a dash of floral water — orange blossom or rose works beautifully.

Tips for a Perfect Non-Alcoholic Champagne Soup

  • Choose a quality sparkling base: This makes all the difference. Go for a refined, alcohol-free drink with real depth. The Bulles de Jardins range of natural, organic sparkling drinks is ideal here.

  • Serve extra cold: The chill is key to that refreshing “wow” effect. Pop your drink in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving — just don’t let it freeze.

  • Play with color: Citrus slices, berries, or mint leaves add a beautiful, vibrant touch.

  • Make it last-minute: Prepare just before serving to keep the bubbles fresh and avoid dilution from the ice.

A Creative Twist with Bulles de Jardins

  • At Jardins, we love alcohol-free alternatives — but never at the expense of character. Our Bulles de Jardins sparkling drinks aren’t trying to imitate Champagne. They offer a different path: more floral, more subtle, and a little more daring. And they’re the perfect base for a reinvented, alcohol-free Champagne soup.

Here are three recipe ideas to revisit Champagne soup, Jardins-style:

    1. White Grape, Lime & Rosemary Sparkling Soup
    An elegant and botanical aperitif.

    Ingredients:

    • 75 cl Bulles de Jardins White Grape & Walnut

    • 10 cl lime juice

    • 8 cl rosemary syrup (or cane sugar syrup + infused rosemary sprig)

    • Ice cubes, lime slices, rosemary sprigs

The result: a smooth and rounded base, lifted by the brightness of lime and the woody notes of rosemary.

    2. Rosé Soup with Ginger & Red Berries
Perfect for a summer brunch or a girls’ night in.

    Ingredients:

    • 75 cl Bulles de Jardins Rosé & Ginger

    • 10 cl raspberry juice

    • 5 cl ginger syrup (or mild honey)

    • Fresh raspberries, a few basil leaves

The result: an aromatic cocktail that blends the freshness of ginger with the indulgence of red berries.

    3. Sunny Bergamot & Rosemary Soup with Citrus & Orange Blossom

  • A surprising blend for curious palates.

    Ingredients:

    • 75 cl Bulles de Jardins Bergamot & Rosemary

    • 10 cl pink grapefruit juice

    • 1 tsp orange blossom water

    • Slices of grapefruit and blood orange

The result: a complex, floral, slightly wild cocktail — best served in large balloon glasses.

    Share a Good Time!

  • Non-alcoholic Champagne soup is so much more than a plan B — it’s a new way to celebrate, without giving up on pleasure, connection, or style. Whether you go for the classic version or get creative with Bulles de Jardins, the most important thing is to enjoy the moment with the people you love.
